Health Care Consulting AHA launches revamped RAC Web site
AHA launches revamped RAC Web site
The AHA today launched an updated Web site containing the latest information on the Medicare Recovery Audit Contractor program. The site contains educational resources for AHA members, links to external resources and listings of upcoming RAC-related events, as well as the latest news from AHA and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Established by the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003 as a demonstration program in five states, RACs identify improper Medicare payments – both overpayments and underpayments. This summer, CMS is expected to release its final report on the demonstration and announce permanent RACs for all 50 states.
